What is your role?
Keeping our customer details up to date, checking policies are issued correctly, and helping customers and insurers with day-to-day enquiries.
How long have you been with the firm?
I joined the company in October 2016
What was your background before that?
I started my career as an office junior for a local insurance broker where I have spent most of my working life. In my time there, I had various roles which included working in Personal and Commercial Lines divisions, moving on to the training department and latterly working in the Compliance department.
I have now taken on a new challenge as commercial broker, which I am enjoying. As they say, you’re never too old to learn!
What are your special skills?
Good rapport, Customer Service, patience and understanding, knowledge and a sense of humour which always helps you through the day.
What do you get up to outside of work?
I love my holidays in the sun. I also enjoy going to the theatre, Wicked was amazing.
When I am being good I like walking, swimming and cycling and of course socialising with family and friends, nothing better than a good chat.
What is your guilty pleasure?
Hard to choose as I have a few, so from this I would have to say listening to Barry White, closely followed by curled up on the sofa watching a rom-com with the duvet, snacks and a ‘wee juice’.
