I started with Blue Rock in December 2021
What was your background before that?
I started my insurance life in various claims roles at large UK insurers, building up a sound insurance knowledge. I then spent 4 years with a Glasgow based independent broker where I honed my skills as an Account Executive before moving to a global broker where I spent 5 years as an Account Executive within the Sport, Entertainment and Media sector.
What are your special skills?
Working with and helping people. I love to meet new people but also forge relationships that last a lifetime. I also enjoy working in and motivating teams to be as successful as possible.
What do you get up to outside of work?
When I’m not reading policy wordings I can be found reading a book. I’m a huge bibliophile and consume 4 or 5 books a month. I’m a member of two online book groups and contribute reviews to a social media page where I often get to read advance copies of books before they hit the shops. Aside from that, I love going to gigs and spend most of my time with the number one person in my life; my young son Leo.
What is your guilty pleasure?
Crisps. I buy a big share bag or tube of Pringles to “share” with my partner, but no sharing is done and they’re devoured in 10 minutes.
